Gillette SS Black Tip

I have replaced my Gillette SuperSpeed Black Tip. I had traded my original SSBT earlier this year for a Semogue Owners Club brush. It was a really good trade. He included an Omega midgit boar brush, some woods for brush handles, and some sample soap. Like I said, it was a good trade, but I wanted to eventually replace it. Today, I did. I had adopted out one of my Jayaruh brushes, so I used proceeds to purchase the Black Tip on eBay.

Jayaruh #39 Completed

The 26mm Ubersoft 2 synthetic knot arrived today, and I had to open the hole a bit for it to fit. I also put a nickel in the bottom to make the loft come to 54mm. I sealed the inside of the hole and then set the knot with silicone. I am really looking forward to using this brush. The first scheduled shave will be this Sunday. However, I will do a test lathering on Saturday.

Sunday's shave will feature my new brush and my old MMCP razor.

Jayaruh #39 Started

I had the opportunity to sell my Jayaruh #34, so I had to replace it. I really liked that brush and never got to use it. I used the walnut I have on hand to make the handle today. I ordered an Ubersoft 2 26mm synthetic knot for the #39.
