Jayaruh #87 in New Home

The Jayaruh #87 was patterned after the Rubberset 400 shaving brush. It is made of oak and has a boar knot from an Omega Pro 48. It was one of the prizes in the TSD Raffle. It arrived today at its new home in Laramie, WY.

Omega 49 Donor Knot for Jayaruh #87

I ordered an Omega 49 brush for the knot. I wanted to put the knot in the Jayaruh #87 faux 400 handle. Today, it came in, and it did not last long. The process was pretty easy. Now the brush is more authentic, except for the wood.

Omega 10066 Boar for the Faux 400

This nice Omega brush arrived today from West Coast Shaving. I destroyed the handle for the knot. The original Rubberset 400s came with boar knots, so I wanted to see how this one would look in my faux 400.

Omega 10066 intact.
I cut off the bottom with a hack saw and then split the remaining part with my Dremel and a utility knife.

Jayaruh #87: Wooden RS 400

This is my fourth brush I have patterned after the Rubberset 400 brush handle. This one is made of oak. I did not take pictures leading up to the finished shape. I have stained it like I did the JR #54: ebony on the bottom and natural on the top. Glamour shots are with my new to me PAL Injecto-Matic injector razor.
