Today, I am using the Twig Thorn for the first time. I have it on loan from Eric on Shave & Chat forum. I am also heading out to Asheville this morning for some Mohs surgery on my chin and cheek, so this shave is my surgical prep. 

The Proraso White Shave Cream was face-lathered well with Jayaruh #144 Finest Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Leaf Thorn razor  and the Gillette Silver Blue Half Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Derby City Chop Shop Winter Reserve After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Two Passes and touch ups with the Henson Clone Safety Razor and the Gillette Silver Blue Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. Today's shave with the Henson Clone was a first shave. For this shave I did use a new Gillette Silver Blue blade. This razor is a mild razor. I don't think there is much chance of drawing blood unless one has very bad form or loads the blade wrong. It does quite a bit of noise like scraping toast. After two passes, there was more clean-up / touch-up than usual. However, I did get a good shave.

Two passes and touch ups with the Ever-Ready Lather Catcher and the Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Citrus Musk EDC. This is my first shave with Tom's Adjustable Razor (TAR) by Tom White. I am lucky enough to be one of the first to get to try it out. Yep, this is a heavyweight. I kept thinking this is Tom's Fatboy Adjustable. Spoiler alert, it was a great shave.

This was my first shave with the JR#168 and the Rockwell 6C, and I must say that neither was a disappointment. The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #168 Synthetic brush. Using the #4 plate (moderate), I did the first pass with the Rockwell 6C razor and Rockwell Swedish Stainless blade. Then I flipped the plate over to #2 (mild) for the second pass, and I ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... It was a very successful first shave. The Rockwell 6C is a great success.
