I skipped last week's straight shave because I injured my wrists in a fall. So, today, I had healed up enough to shave with a straight. The Acme was smooth and efficient. It was nice to be able to shave with a straight again.

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Tabac Shave Soap face lathered well with the B-400 Brush by Tom. I did the first pass with my new Wilbert 5/8 Acme Razor. It did fine, but it still needs to have the edge refined. I finished off the second pass with the Gillette NEW Improved Tuckaway Razor with a Gillette Super Thin DE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Wilbert - "The Celebrated Acme Razor" 5/8

I responded to a poll on TSD that asked, "Would you shave with a razor made by Acme?" Of course, I answered yes, but then I did a search on eBay and found this razor. It looked to be in pretty good condition, so after going back and looking at it a few times, I bought it. 

Update: came in August 27, and I cleaned it up.
