My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Kiss My Face Shave Cream face lathered very easily with Jayaruh #331 Boar brush and had a very nice minty coolness. The Enders razor loads very easily by pushing the blade in from the back and getting a little click. I did two passes with the Enders Speed Shaver razor with the Enders Speed Blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Osage Rub. The Rub gives an immediate freezing coolness followed by a long-lasting coolness. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

This 60+ year old blade was a bit tuggy. I did a belly strop after the shave. I will see how it does tomorrow. I may end up slipping a Schick Proline in on top of it later.

Jayaruh #331 First Lathering

I started out with my brush, my green glass bowl, and Razorock Classic Artisan Shaving Soap.

I wet the brush in cold water and loaded it for about 30 seconds.

I dipped the tips in water and began to build my lather.

I added a little water and continued to build the lather.

After a couple of minutes this is what I had.

This is what I ended up with.

I cleaned up the bowl and closed up the soap. Then, I let the brush sit for 30 minutes to an hour. After that, I cleaned up the brush and set it aside for Monday's shave.

I had a special request for a green brush with a tall knot. It is patterned after #188, one of my keepers and favorite brushes. I made two. I have two Omega 49 brushes coming that will be donor brushes. The boar knots are excellent and have a tall loft.

Initial holes are drilled in the handles.

Now they are ready for painting and branding (numbering).

First coat of paint.

After second coat, I did the black.

The knots should be arriving today. I have finished the handles with two coats of polycrylic.
