I am pleased with the amazing grain of this Olivewood. Next step will be to separate the handles and make the holes.
Here they are separated and with holes ready for knots. The knots are on order, so next I will be finishing the handles while I wait on the knots to arrive.
This 400 type brush handle is made from Wenge wood for Charlie in Kentucky. All it needs now is a knot. I ordered three different synthetics. Charlie can choose the one he likes best.

As part of the Louisville Slugger run of brushes, I started this brush a few years back (2018). It was the last of the nubs. I had formed the basic shape and the hole, and it sat on top of my dresser ever since. Today, I made the hole deeper and wider to accommodate a 24mm silvertip badger knot. I stained and sealed the wood with Minwax stain/sealer. Then, I numbered it and put a coat of polycrylic on it.
