Arko Stick Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #54 synthetic brush. Two passes with my Schick M2 Adjustable razor and a Personna blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Florida Water After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Jayaruh #53 and #54
March 10, 2016. Jayaruh #53, on the left, is finished with dark walnut, and the #54 is finished natural on top and ebony on the bottom. Both are sealed with polyurethane and have the Maggard 24mm synthetic knot.

Jayaruh #54 Begins
I actually started this handle on the 5th. It is the second one that is shaped like the Rubberset 400. On the seventh I completed shaping it, sanding it, and making the hole.
Update: March 8
Yesterday, I put it to a vote about the finish for the #54: natural, red oak, dark walnut. A third option was suggested: natural top with ebony bottom. I decided to go with that one. Here is what I have so far.

I got a coat of polyurethane on the handle.
