My prep was just a cold water rinse. The PSC Caffeinated Shaving Cream face lathered well with Jayaruh #383 2-band Badger Brush. I did two passes and a cleanup with the 1902 Kampfe Brothers/Star Lather Catcher razor with a Gem Star Duridium SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. I completed this brush today when I set the two-band badger knot. This is the fourth and last of the Civil War type brushes I have made.

Update: January 22

I have had three shaves with JR #383. Here are some pictures showing the bloom. I really like this two-band badger knot, and the handle has a very nice feel for face lathering.
