The Rocket has Landed

I sent my Russian Rocket straight to Tom White to be honed. He did the following:

I gave it my Naniwa progression 1,3,5,8&12k. Then I gave it a few laps on my 1 micron lapping film. Then gave it a good Stropping on my Latigo. 

Well, it arrived today, and I am looking forward to my first shave with it tomorrow, Straights Saturday.

Russian "Raketa" Rocket Straight

I first saw this razor on the TSD Raffle. I knew that I would like to have one like it, so when I saw this on eBay, I got it. The top two pictures are from the eBay offering.

It arrived today, and I took these pictures. It will probably need a good honing to get it shave ready, but at least I have my Russian "Raketa" Rocket straight.
