The Clubman Pinaud Classic Barber Shave Cream is a non foaming shave cream that I rubbed into my whiskers. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Trac // razor and the Trac // Cartridge Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. I'm going to try out my "new" Atra razor for the next week. I haven't shaved with any cartridge razor in about 4 years. This one dates back to the year my second son was born (1977).

The TABAC Shaving Cream face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #62 Synthetic brush. I was pleasantly surprised at the shave today. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Atra with a Dorco Comfort Thin II blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. I like that the cartridge is designed to give lots of flow through. It was very easily rinsed between passes with no clogging. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with T.N. Dickinson's WH and then Aqua Velva Ice Blue After Shave. Today, I found a Gillette Atra handle in the wild. It is an X4, fourth quarter 1977. The Atra was introduced in 1977, so that makes it special. It is even more special, because it is the birth year/quarter of our second son, Tim.

It cleaned up very nicely.

I picked up this Supermax SII, a Trac II clone made in India. This is its maiden voyage. The Mitchell's Wool Fat face-lathered very easily with my Semogue 1305 Boar Brush. Two passes with my Supermax SII and Supermax SII nonlubricant blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Aqua Velva Ice Blue after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
