Box 10 for Army OT

I made this box today for my U.S. Army 1918 Old Type. It is walnut to match the handle I made for the OT. These first pictures are before I put a finish on it. The last of the series is where I lined the bottom half with blue velvet. I will probably line the top as well. We shall see.

L'Essor Lather Catcher Safety Razor (France)

This L'Essor lather catcher was sent to me by Adrian in Texas. He got it recently and posted on TOST. It is missing one of the blade stops which renders it non operative. I told him that I knew a jeweler that may be able to fix that, so he sent it to me. I took it to the jeweler today, and he says that he may indeed be able to build another blade stop. That would be great.

I responded to a poll on TSD that asked, "Would you shave with a razor made by Acme?" Of course, I answered yes, but then I did a search on eBay and found this razor. It looked to be in pretty good condition, so after going back and looking at it a few times, I bought it. 

Update: came in August 27, and I cleaned it up.
