I decided to go ahead and use my new to me Valet AutoStrop razor for the first time. It was a highly successful shave.

The Proraso Green Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #37 Synthetic brush. Two passes with my AutoStrop razor and a GEM modified blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. Being the first shave with this razor and blade, I went slowly, but I quickly found the sweet spot. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Aqua Velva Ice Blue after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Jayaruh #37 Started

I can hardly believe it, but I have started another. This one is #37. It is made from the second blank of the osage orange.

Update: December 14

I painted the brand and put a coat of polyurethane on the #37.

#37 is completed with synthetic knot.
