My #51 Aristocrat Jr. Rocket arrived yesterday, and I just had to interrupt my scheduled shave and use it. I got the razor in a trade with @Red Rider in Canadia. It is made in England for the Canadian market. The Proraso Green Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #36 horse hair brush. Two passes with my new Rocket razor and an Astra SP blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. The razor weighs in at 70 g. and feels great in the hand. It also provides a bit of feedback that I am not accustomed to in a Gillette. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayers Cucumber WH and then Dove Men+ Post Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I prepared my face with The Executive Shave Co. Pre-Shave Oil. I took a little dab of Geo. F. Trumper Eucris Shaving Cream and smeared it onto my face. It face-lathered very well with my Jayaruh #36 horse hair brush. It just burst into lather. Two passes with my Edwin Jagger DE89 razor and a Voskhod blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayers Cucumber WH and then Geo. F. Trumper Sandalwood Skin Food. The sandalwood scent is very light, and the skin food is soothing. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Jayaruh #40 black badger with Razorock P.160 Shaving Soap.

Jayaruh #36 Begins

I got a piece of osage orange from DDuckyMark in a trade for Jayaruh #8. I also got a Schick C. Acutally the wood was a freebie. I cut it and glued it together last week, and today I got it out and did the following. I decided to make a chubby out of one piece and hold the other back for another day. I will finish this one with a clear finish to show off the yellow wood.
