The wife and I are in Pigeon Forge TN this weekend with son David's family for a family VACA. We got away this afternoon and found two antique stores. One was promising on the outside but with prices to stay on the inside. The other one was built around a diner. It was cool to go through. I found the following two items that are going home with me. A Schick Double Edge razor in an unopened package with two Super Chromium Blades. It has been waiting since 1972 to be opened. I also found an unopened package of Schick Injector Plus Platinum blades, Teflon Coated.
This is my new handle. It originally lived as a MicroMatic Open Comb razor. A shaver, GAW7596, on TOST3 had made two handles like this. I asked him about how he did it. He revealed his secret, and I tried to do it, too. I only got as far as cutting the handle off. He offered to finish it for me, and I agreed. He threaded the handle and sent along two double-threaded pieces that will accommodate most SE razors. The threaded piece screws into the bottom of the razor head and then into the handle.
