First Lathering for Jayaruh #274

I like to do a bowl lathering for my natural hair brushes. Today, in preparation for next week, I lathered the Jayaruh #274 boar brush. As is my custom, I used Soap Commander Renewal for the purpose. Here are some pictures.

It is ready for its first shave now.

This handle was one of five I made a while back. It is the last to be finished. I completed it today by setting it with an Omega Pro 49 boar knot.

 

Jayaruh 273-277 Beginnings

It was a beautiful day out today, so I made the best of it and turned these five handles from the last of the Louisville Slugger stubs.

I have branded the handles and stained them.
