Gebr. Becker 5/8 Straight

I was gifted this Gebr. Becker 5/8 Silver Steel Straight by Scott in Texas. It was made in Solingen, Germany, probably around 1910-30. Gebr. is an abbreviation for Gebrüder which is German for Brother. Today, the company line of business includes manufacturing air and gas compressors.  The razor is in great shape and has the name J J Thomas scratched on one of the scales. I have scheduled my first shave with it for next Saturday, May16.

Here it is straight out of the package. He sent me Tom's TNAC razor to use for a week, and he included this straight as a gift. Very nice. I am looking forward to putting it into my straight rotation.
