Here are one of the pieces that I cut off the stump.
Today, I made a couple of pieces with some of the burl. One is just a little piece to hold flower buds. The other is Jayaruh #449. I have ordered a couple of knots. When they get here, I'll use one to finish the brush.

I have an old tree on the back of our lot that has some burls. I cut some off and set them aside to dry out. Last week, I took one of the burls and cut it down into manageable sizes. Yesterday, I got creative and made two boxes for two of my razors: the Mekur 37c and my Gillette Flat Bottom NEW.

Box 86 was for the Gillette Flat Bottom NEW.
I have used this razor with modern Gem blades, a vintage Damaskeene Blade, and a Sha-Ve-Zee Blue Back Blade. Today I thought I would try a couple of my vintage wedge blades in it. They look good, and I will be doing a week with this Frankenskeene Razor configuration.
