Jayaruh #81 Begins

I had a piece of Wenge wood left over, and I decided to turn it into a beehive type handle. This is my fourth beehive type handle that I have made, and I am pleased with its outcome. The Wenge is a dark wood, and when finished with a clear finish, it darkens it even more. I had one 22mm Sunrise synthetic knot left, and it goes very well with this handle. I will put one more coat of polyurethane on the handle before setting the knot. It has a very nice feel in the hand, and this knot is a great performer, so this should turn out to be a great brush.

Update: June 29, 2016

I have reknotted the JR#81 with a VS 23.5mm silvertip badger. (see more here)
