I did not take intermediate pictures. I started with a piece of hickory to make this beehive handle. This hickory is pretty hard. I got it finished up, sealed, branded, and a coat of polyurethane. I will need to paint the brand and put another coat of polyurethane on it. This picture is with a Sunrise synthetic knot before sealing and poly.
UPDATE: June 10, 2016
After the second coat of polyurethane dried, I set the knot with silicone.
