All My Straights

I dedicated this page to all my straights. I have put new scales on #3, #4, and #8. I made wooden scales for #6. I made a seven day case to hold my razors when I only had three razors. Now, I have outgrown it by three razors. At the moment, I have no plans for expanding my straight razor collection.

Seven Day Case

I have had my razors professionally honed, and I do not intend to learn to hone. I have two strops that I use to maintain my edges. They were made by Drygulch Leather Works. The black one is a 3 inch strop. The leather is Chromexcel Horsehide. It is tanned in Chicago by the Horween tannery. The hemp linen webbing is made in Europe.

Then, I have a red one. It is 2.5" Barber's Strop with Latigo that was a gift from Charlie on TSD.

I have a vintage Craftsman strop that is just for show.

  2. I am a member on The Shave Den forum. Two members there keep me sharp: HolyRollah and twhite. There are other very capable honemeisters there.
