Yesterday, I glued up a piece of hickory and a piece of osage orange. Today, I unclamped it and began to work on it.
I noticed that there was a stain on the bottom of the handle that I could not get rid of. It even got darker when I put a sealer on it. I decided that I would cut off about a quarter of an inch from the bottom and rework the bottom.
After reworking the bottom and rebranding it, here it is with a Sunrise synthetic knot.
UPDATE: June 10, 2016
Here it is after the knot has been set with silicone.
