A gentleman on The Shave Den contacted me and said he had some wood that I might be able to use. It was very generous of him. He sent them, and they arrived today. Three sticks of hickory and one stick of osage orange wood. It was beautiful out today, so I took the opportunity to cut them down to octagonal shapes so they will be easier to work with.

Fresh out of the box. |
Set up to begin shaping. |
I have cut the hickory into squares. |
I cut the corners off the osage orange to make an octagon. |
All done. I even took the time to square off the ends of the hickory. |
Now they are stored away ready to be made into brush handles.
