The Omega 49 brushes finally came in yesterday around 7:30 PM, so it was too late to do anything with them. Today, I got busy harvesting the knots and preparing them for JR#332.
Removed the knots from the handles. |
Ready to remove the collar. |
Split one side using a Dremel tool. |
I scored the opposite side and them pried the collar off the knot. |
I prepared two knots. |
Too big for the handles. |
I shaped the plug using my belt sander. |
This is the knot dry fitted. Perfect. |
These are pictures after I set the knot with epoxy. The handle is 86mm high. The knot is 26mm at the opening and has a 65mm loft.
