Box Eight

I got this idea from Fuzzy on The Original Safety Two shaving log. When finished the walnut box will contain a Schick razor with a walnut handle, a synthetic brush with walnut handle,  and a magazine of blades.

In the next picture, I have added spacers to build up and hold each component.

Now, I am in the process of putting hinges and a clasp on the box. Pictures will follow. Then I will put a polycrylic finish on it.

Here it is with two coats of polycrylic and a red felt lining in the lid.

My prep was just a cold water rinse. I used Clubman Classic Shave Cream as a pre-shave. It is a non-lathering SC, so I just applied a thin layer before lathering with the Ingram Shave Cream. It face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #30 brush. I did two passes with the Schick Krona Razor with an Astra SP blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
