I received some new knots today, so I was able to finish these three brushes. I set the 22mm synthetic knots with hot glue.

Two New Razors

The second one I have not seen before, and the price was right. It is a JiFULI double edge safety razor. It is a two piece razor. Unscrewing the handle separates the cap from the base plate and handle. I am looking forward to giving it a go next week. I read one testimony that reported that it was aggressive and efficient.Shave of the Day - 2/23

Jayaruh #475, 476, and 477
I worked on three new brushes today. I saw one of similar form on one of the shaving forums and put it in the back of my mind until the weather changed. That was today. It got up to 61 degrees with clear skies.

I had two synthetic knots left over. I cut out three blanks today. One was bacote, one was walnut, and one was pine. I did the pine first to experiment and see how it might go. I turned all the handles and set them aside as I finished them. Next, I made the knot holes one at a time. Again, I started with the pine. The two knots are 20 mm, so I used a 3/4 inch Forstner bit to start. Then I used a Dremel to increase the hole to fit the knot. I finished by giving each two coats of polyurethane.
Finally, I took pictures with the knots dry fitted. I have ordered three more knots, so I will be able to finish all three. I still need to give each of them a JR#.
