All My Slants

 I have five slants. From left to right: PAA Slant, Merkur 37c Slant, Tourqued Slant by Tom, Gillette Tech Slant by Tom, Maggard Slant with Maggard fat handle.

Gillette did not make a slant, but they did promote the correct way to shave later referred to as the "Gillette Slide."  In the Fig. 2 the head is parallel with ground and is moved at an angle giving the effect of cutting the whiskers with a slicing rather than a chopping action.

They even published a full page ad in Colliers in 1929 illustrating the "correct stroke" (far left). Right click on the picture and "open link in a new tab" to read the article.
