My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Morning TOST Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #356 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Maggard V3A (aggressive head) razor with a Gillette Silver Blue blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

This was my first shave with the Maggard V3A head. It was advertised as aggressive, so I treated it like a Gillette Old Type. There were no issues, just a clean close shave. Nice.

Handles for Lather Catchers

I had a bunch of Louisville Slugger stubbs too small for shaving brush handles, but they were just the right length for razor handles like the old ER wooden lather catcher handles. Today, I got out and made four. Well, I got them turned. All I lack is finishing up.

Now, I need to install the screws and finish the handles by staining and a clear coat. 

Update: I have drilled the holes and set the screws. Now I need to cut them to length.

Cornhole

I made this Cornhole board with a piece of plywood I had that was not being used. It was in the way. Now it has a practical purpose. Aldis had the bean bags on sale, so I picked up two sets. I need to make one more board to make it complete.

1902 Kampfe Brothers/Star Lather Catcher Razor

I've been wanting one of these for some time now. They don't come up very often and when they do, they are beyond my means. This one hit the sweet spot.

Last January, I got this Star wedge. It was rough, but I cleaned it pretty well and got it sharp. It is functional now. Now, I have a Kampfe/Star razor to go with it.

Update: June 1, 2019

The Kampfe Bros Lather Catcher has arrived. It is beautiful. This first picture is just as it was when I opened the package. I will probably not use the handle. I have made other handles that will work fine.

I am planning to shave with it tomorrow with the Star wedge I have. Here is the setup

I started this one a couple of weeks ago, but I just received the knot to finish it. It is the knot I harvested from an Omega 49 brush, my go to knot for 400 type brushes.
