Shim for Gem

I got this 3-D printed shim in the mail today from Fuzzy down in New Orleans. This shim was found by a gentleman in the UK on a 3D printing web site who had some printed and sent to Fuzzy who distributed them among interested parties. The idea is to raise the back of a modern blade to approximate the angle of an original wedge blade.

Here is how it works.

The blade sits on top of the shim so that the locators protrude through the holes in the blade.

Then the blade and shim slide down to the stops on the razor and the spring loaded holder in the back is moved forward to hold it tightly in place.

Now it is ready for business.

I will be putting it to the test soon.
