Jayaruh #77 Begins

For the Jayaruh #77, I cut two pieces of wood one inch long and glued them together: one piece of oak and one piece of purpleheart wood. I sawed off the extra purpleheart wood and then cut off the corners making a hexagonnal piece. Then, I rounded off the corners and began to shape the piece. I made a one inch hole for the knot 15mm deep.  I branded the bottom with a JR 77. After much hand sanding, I finished the handle with a polyurethane finish. Now, it is drying.

First coat of polyurethane is dry to touch, so I took a few glamour shots.
