I received my Whipped Dog 22 mm Silver Tip in the mail today. I put it into all my handles in waiting for a photo shoot. Same knot/different handles. I will have to decide which handle to put it in.

De-Funking an Animal Hair Knot
Here I follow Larry's instructions for odor removal of a natural hair brush knot.
Soak the brush in Oxi Clean laundry stain remover, or an equivalent product, for 2 to 3 minutes. Rinse thoroughly in running water.
Repeat 3 more times.

More pictures tomorrow.
Does the paper towel core keep it from getting a big bloom making difficult to set? I'm glad you have to decide. They all look good.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Don. I used the core to tame the bloom initially. It also absorbed some of the water. It bloomed out pretty well anyhow. I am putting golden oak stain on the handle today.
DeleteWhich handle and what number? I may still want to do another deal. I have a driftwood look in mind .
ReplyDeleteThat would be the New Jayaruh #27, bird's eye maple with golden oak stain, modeled after one of my Made Rite handles.
