My prep was just a cold water rinse. The De Vergulde Hand Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #331 boar brush. I did two passes with the Ever-Ready 1912 razor with a CVS CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Aqua Velva 5 in 1 AS.
