A member on TSD suggested I make a donut razor stand. I was a bit confused, but I finally figured it out, so here is what I did.
I glued up a blank using oak and purple heart woods.
Here I trimmed it up to make it square.
Next, I cut off the corners to make it an octagonal shape.
I drilled a 5/8 inch hole in the center.
This is a test of the new stand.
I sanded it and sanded it, then put a coat of polyurethane on it. Here it is almost dry.
All done. Here it is with matching pieces.
It has been way to long. You did a beautiful job . WIth a little ingenuity, instead of a credit card. It is my opinion that your stand is nicer than any stainless steel one, which are way overpriced. I hope you start selling them. Great job Jayaruh.
