I got the idea for this brush from a gentleman on TSD. He likes the old fashion barber shop brushes with the skinny handles.
I was thinking that I might be able to make one from one of the Louisville Slugger stubs that I have, I am very happy at the way it turned out.
Update: March 12. Getting there. Stained with dark walnut and painted top black. Here it is with four different knots.

I decided on the beige synthetic knot. I put a final coat of polycrylic on the handle.
