First Lathering: Jayaruh #277

I like to do a first lathering for my brushes with natural knots. The Jayaruh #277 has a silvertip badger, so, today, I did a first lathering with Soap Commander Renewal.

First I assemble the goods. I have the brush, the Soap Commander, and my Turkish shaving cup.

First, I soak the brush briefly.

I load the brush for about 25 seconds.

I whip up some lather in the cup, adding a little water.

A little more lather making yields more lather.

All done. I got lots of lather fairly quickly.

I rinsed the brush and towel dried it with paint brush motion. It is ready to do its blooming.

I will be using this brush for next week's shaves.
