I was given a tuck of Gem Micromatic Reversible Blades. I had never heard of them at the time and wondered how they could be used in a Gem Micromatic razor. As I started opening each blade, I found that they were all to some extent smitten with rusty edges.

The center hold indexes the blade from side to side. When the lid is lowered, tabs in the lid will come down and go in the cutouts on each side. It will eventually push the blade forward into the blade stops. As it says on the blade, "Fits only Gem Micromatic Razors."
Unfortunately, every blade had its edges infested with rust. It was a good idea that did not last.
