I got two new razors today that I got in a trade. I was expecting one, but I got two. I expected the Gem MMOC with no bumps. I also got a Gillette Tech. Here are some pictures after a good cleaning.
The MMOC is the bumpless version which means it is an early MMOC. It needed a good bit of cleaning and a good polish. The closing mechanism was gunked and would not work freely. I did an ultra sonic bath and added some lubricant. After much work, I got it free and now it works very nicely.
Here is the Tech. The cap and handle are in good condition, but the base plate had what looked like rust. I tried to clean it up a bit with my Dremel, but it also ended up removing the gold wash.
