Jayaruh #83

Today, I began the 83 Jayaruh shaving brush. I am using the purple heart wood. I did not take progress pictures. These pictures are after the brush has its basic shape. It still needs some finish sanding and then finishing. The knot in the pictures is a 22mm Sunrise synthetic. I have a black synthetic on order, but it may be a while before it comes. It is a 24mm knot, so if I use it, I will have to make the hole wider. After I seal it and polyurethane it, it will take on a deep purple color.

Update: July 24, 2016

I set the Sunrise 22mm knot with silicone today. I think it is a good match. I can change it again if I choose.
