Schick E2

This is my newest old razor, the Schick E2. It was produced in the late 1930s.

The spring swivels to the left to loosen the head for cleaning. I imagine that the powers that be decided that this feature opened the door to unintentional cuts and so discontinued this design.

The E3 and beyond have a locked spring so that the head cannot be easily disassembled. The Schick has the coolest way to change blades of all razors. IMHO.

The safety bar on the E2 is smooth. The E3 had parallel grooves along the length of the bar. This particular razor is aggressive for some reason. I probably won't be using this in my rotation. It will just go in my collection.
